Our Facilities
BAVC is located in a 14,000 square foot space (a former mayonnaise factory) on the corner of Mariposa and Bryant streets in San Francisco.
BAVC’s facility is fully equipped with the most relevant media making hardware and software available including:
- Final Cut Pro suite;
- Final Cut Pro online suite;
- ProTools digital audio suite with narration booth;
- Five state-of-the-art Mac/PC computer labs; and a
- Community Innovation Lab with PowerMac Systems with AJA SDI Kona cards capable of Uncompressed SD and HD online outputs, a Black Magic Video workhub for master control room integration, Final Cut Studio, Apple TV, and several video PDAs for cross-platform diagnostics.
All BAVC systems are equipped with the latest versions of design and editing software programs including Adobe CS, Final Cut Studio, Pro-Tools, Maya, Mudbox, MotionBuilder, Motion and others.
Finally, working in partnership with the City of San Francisco and City College of San Francisco, BAVC is connected to high-speed 10Gbit research internet networks through the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) and National Lambda Rail.
